Mark your calendars! On Wednesday, October 3rd there will be a public
meeting for the greater Murray Elementary community at the school at 7:00 PM
in the cafeteria.

We encourage all residents living, working and/or worshiping in the Murray
Elementary district to attend, including the following:
* Murray staff and parents
* Residents in the vicinity of Langford Farms, Blue Springs, Grassmere,
Rosemont, Glenaire, Peacock Hill
* Residents in the vicinity of Morgantown Rd, Dry Bridge Rd, Dick Woods Rd,
Taylor's Gap Rd, Gillums Ridge Rd., Bloomfield Rd, Rt 250, etc.

Agenda items:
============
* Discuss formation of a "Murray Elementary Community Association," a new
non-profit organization that would formalize the community of neighbors,
friends and families that has come together, from various neighborhoods,
over the past several months in the Ivy area. While some neighborhoods have
their own homeowners associations, ONE idea is to have a "Murray Elementary
Community Association" which would more broadly represent the district
around Murray Elem. Our community is facing increased pressure with
development projects in Crozet and the Ivy area and those of us working
recently on the Morgantown Road Action Committee (MRAC) think a new
organization will improve communications and give us a stronger voice in the
County.

* Update on the Faulconer Construction project near Murray and next actions
See: http://www.albemarlematters.com/faulconer.htm

* Update on Morgantown Road traffic issues. Build consensus on action areas
outlined in August meeting with County and VDOT. See:
http://lists.bnsi.net/pipermail/eyesonivy/2001-September/000014.html.

* Update on Verulam Farm golf course project on Bloomfield Road.

We will post some flyers next week and mail this message to friends on our
non-electronic mailing list. However, at this early stage, our coverage in
the community is limited, so please help us spread the word! Questions or
suggestions?  Please contact me.
